Pat Wehr will be teaching the art of Ukrainian Egg Decorating or Pysanky on Thursday March 8th beginning at 6:00.

The method is similar to batik - patterns are drawn on the egg with wax, which protects the covered areas from accepting the dye that is applied.
By repeating this process with different colors of dye, a multi-colored pattern is built up.
Finally, the wax is removed, with the heat of a candle, to reveal the colors that were covered up at each stage.

Participants are asked to bring 3 hard-boiled eggs at room temperature and dress in clothes that may get messy.

Limited to the first 8 participants to register ages 12 and up.
