Patrick Brodigan was appointed the Director of the Readlyn Community Library in September of 2019. Originally from Frederika Iowa, he joined the Air Force in 1998 and retired in 2018 after 20 years of service - 5 years as a flying crew chief (aircraft mechanic) and 15 years as a meteorologist. He brings a diverse skillset to the library having managed a variety of programs and workcenters including multiple stateside and remote weather stations and one of four Department of Defense solar observatories. Mr. Brodigan has been stationed in Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Korea, South Dakota, and Massachusetts. He has also spent time in Germany, Oman, Qatar, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, and Jordan during his five deployments. He holds Associate’s degrees in both Aerospace Maintenance and in Meteorology, and a Master’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management.
